Trusting in God
Isaiah 40:30-31 " Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall fall. But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up as on wings of eagles, They shall run and NOT be weary, They shall walk and NOT faint".
All of us go through trying times, whether it be health, relationships, finances or any number of worldly issues. We so often times want to "fix things" ourselves, and be self reliant. Sometimes, that works, but more often than not, we end up unable to rectify whatever the problem is. We seem to trust ourselves more than putting our trust in God. The old saying "where fools rush in", can often describe us. Impatient, and looking for a quick fix, we dive in head first and more often than not, end up making matters worse and draining us emotionally, spiritually, mentally and at times physically.
As the prophet Isaiah pointed out over 1,000 years ago, that if we wait upon the Lord, HE will renew our strength. In HIS strength we are strong and that strength ebbs through our entire being. We become more clear headed, enabling us to make wise decisions. Waiting and putting our trust in our God, our Abba Heavenly Father, is the best way to seek the answers that we need.
Are you in need today? Turn to your Father in Heaven, wait and seek him for renewed strength!
Prayer: "Dear Lord, thank you for the patience to wait upon you as I seek your strength and wisdom, in the name of Christ Jesus. Amen!"
