Mental Health

This section houses the Mental Health articles of the Whole Health Newsletter. Here you will learn about how to maintain good mental health, discover signs of poor mental health and explore treatment options. The newsletter itself will be issued the second Saturday of every month, and will automatically be emailed to subscribers.

Love Yourself?

Consider one of the key passages in all of Scripture from the lips of God in-the-flesh, Jesus Christ: “Love your neighbor, as yourself” (Mark 12:31b)—that is to say, love your neighbor as you love yourself.

The Barrier of Shame

Have you ever considered the notion of carried shame? Might you be carrying unprocessed shame from the course of your life experiences? Likely you have not thought too much about the role that carried shame may be playing in your life—possibly affecting your sense of self, your relationship with the people in your life, and even your relationship with God.

Addiction-One Man's Story

There is a wide array of situations you can experience that can challenge your inner peace, trigger various reactions or prevent you from overcoming unwanted behaviors. Your responses to these situations may fluctuate according to your mental and emotional health, which are tightly intertwined.
