What you are you working on? Track your progress! If you are not satisfied with where you are after week 4, find a different solution and track your progress for the next four weeks. Keep going until you feel you have exhausted your options or have reached your goal. Don’t forget to celebrate your wins!
The list of healthy and unhealthy coping mechanisms offers an idea of ways people cope. Healthy coping doesn’t usually provide instant gratification, but the long-term benefits are positive. Unhealthy coping feels good almost instantly but has negative consequences.
